I went with some friends last night to the new Bahama Breeze restaurant. We have dined at one in Orlando so we had expectations of good food and we were not disappointed. The interior isn’t as exotic as the one in Orlando, but there are tropical elements inside which is nice to see when one is coming out of a New England winter.
We started with the shrimp cocktail, of which the waiter warned is different than the usual jumbo shrimp lining a bowl with cocktail sauce. We ordered it anyway. What a treat! I would advise ordering one per person since it’s basically an appetizer for one contained in a martini glass. It was more like a salad of small shrimp with pico de gallo and avocado, with wonderful hints of cilantro. Very good.
The kids had mac and cheese which won rave reviews. I’d say it tasted like an Alfredo sauce.
